Examining exploitation within the North Atlantic Maritime Industry

A conference is taking place in Ireland, 10-11 May 2016, to examine exploitation and irregularities within the North Atlantic Maritime Industry with the strategic aim of supporting, protecting and detecting victims of human trafficking.

The conference is being hosted by An Garda Síochána – the Irish National Police Force – and the Santa Marta Group at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, Republic of Ireland.

Originating through the 2014 Rome ‘Declaration of Commitment’, the North Atlantic Maritime Project is an inclusive partnership between representatives of the police, clergy, state and civil society from Ireland & Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, Scotland, Spain, Portugal.
